SPL ALL THIS BELONGS TO YOU
SPL ALL THIS BELONGS TO YOU 13.jpg
The V&A steps (PRS Architects, 2001). The V&A’s entrance was redesigned in 2001 to accommodate disability, but also to be a sociable space. The steps are low-rise, easier for those walking with sticks to use, and there are slopes accessible to wheelchairs. The steps have also been designed with sitting in mind. Visitors are free to linger here and people-watch, eat lunch or wait for friends in a space separate from commercial ones, such as the café. The steps are designed to be an unplanned, informal public area. As part of 'All This Belongs to You' at Victoria and Albert Museum, Kensington Gardens
