Tulip Siddiq, Economic Secretary to the Treasury has been named in an investigation into claims her family embezzled up to £3.9bn (Bangladeshi taka 590 billion) from infrastructure projects in Bangladesh. The project is linked to the construction of a nuclear power plant that was built by a Russian state-backed company called Rosatom. Footage from 2013 shows Siddiq attended the deal's signing by Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina (Tulip Siddiq's mothers eldest sister) and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin, recorded by the Associated Press.
